What to expect from your
first visit
You will be required to fill in a health questionnaire.
Your initial consultation lasts up to 1 hour with Victoria.
After taking a detailed case history to  review important aspects of your health, a thorough examination will be conducted. This involves a posture analysis, relevant orthopaedic and neurological tests and spine and joint assessments.
Victoria will then discuss the  examination findings, diagnosis and proposed treatment with you. If appropriate your treatments will then start.
Sometimes further tests to reach a diagnosis are required, for example an MRI scan, x-ray or blood test. Victoria will discuss this fully with you. Treatments are specific to each individual, depending on age, condition and  lifestyle.

Chiropractic treatments mainly involves safe, often gentle, specific spinal manipulation to free joints in the spine or other, related areas, that are not moving properly. Most often, this requires a short thrust to a joint that can result in an audible 'pop' and may bring relief of symptoms; some patients report an increased feeling of well-being.

Apart from soft tissue manipulation, spinal and joint manipulation, Victoria  may use a variety of techniques including  sacral occipital technique, gentle cranial techniques, activator technique, trigger point therapy, ice and acupuncture. Treatment choice is based on what is appropriate  as she helps women during pregnancy, babies, children as well as athletes and the elderly.

Victoria will support the treatments  she  offers with individual advice about your lifestyle, work and exercise in order to help manage the condition and prevent a recurrence of the problem.
